Hamás asegura que liberó a dos ciudadanas estadounidenses ‘por motivos humanitarios’
A través de Telegram, Hamás afirmó que dejó en libertad a dos de los cerca de 200 rehenes que permanecen en su poder. Según esa versión, se trata de una madre y su hija.
El grupo islamista palestino Hamás, que gobierna en la Franja de Gaza , afirmó este viernes que su brazo armado liberó a dos rehenes estadounidenses, de las cerca de 200 personas que fueron secuestradas en la ofensiva sin precedentes en territorio israelí lanzada por sus milicianos el 7 de octubre.
Un portavoz del brazo militar del movimiento islamista indicó en un comunicado publicado en Telegram que una mujer estadounidense y su hija fueron liberadas «por motivos humanitarios, tras la mediación de Catar».
«La mayoría de ellos están vivos», dijo el ejército en un comunicado en el que indicó que también hay cadáveres que fueron llevados a la Franja de Gaza. Los militares israelíes indicaron que más de 20 de los rehenes son menores y que entre 10 y 20 tienen más de 60 años.
Desde el asalto lanzado hace casi dos semanas por milicianos de Hamás contra territorio israelí ,el peor ataque sufrido por Israel desde su creación en 1948, hay entre 100 y 200 personas reportadas como desaparecidas, según el ejército.
El primer ministro israelí, Benjamin Netanyahu, prometió «aniquilar» a Hamás tras el ataque.
Al menos 4.137 personas murieron en Gaza en los incesantes bombardeos lanzados desde entonces por Israel, incluyendo más de 1.500 niños, según el ministerio de Salud controlado por Hamás.
