Tragedia en pelea callejera: boxeador murió tras recibir fuerte golpe
En medio de una pelea callejera en la que el vencedor se ganaría dinero, un joven boxeador murió producto de un golpe que lo dejó nocaut. Aquí la historia.
Un suceso trágico ha sacudido a la comunidad deportiva en Jericoacoara, Ceará, en Brasil, después de que un joven de 23 años, João Victor Penha, perdiera la vida tras recibir un contundente puñetazo en la cabeza durante una pelea callejera en la que el ganador se llevaría Dinero. El lamentable incidente en el que perdió la vida el boxeador fue capturado en un video que se ha viralizado en las redes sociales.
Tras el impacto ocurrido el 7 de octubre de 2023, João Victor Penha fue trasladado de inmediato al Hospital Santa Casa de Misericordia de Sobral en un intento desesperado por salvar su vida. Sin embargo, el pasado martes 10 de octubre el boxeador lamentablemente falleció.
La Policía Civil del Estado de Ceará (PC-CE) ha tomado cartas en el asunto y se encuentra investigando las circunstancias que rodearon la muerte del joven boxeador. El caso se encuentra bajo la jurisdicción de la Comisaría Municipal de Jijoca de Jericoacoara, quienes están trabajando en las investigaciones del caso.
El neurocirujano Cláudio Henrique Moreira, del Hospital Santa Casa de Sobral, donde João Victor Penha recibió atención médica, explicó que los movimientos y estiramientos bruscos de la región cervical pueden causar daños a la arteria carótida, la cual es responsable de llevar el flujo sanguíneo al cerebro.
