‘Gaza se está convirtiendo en un agujero infernal y está al borde del colapso’, asegura la ONU
Representante de agencia de la ONU para los palestinos aseguró que la velocidad de la crisis humanitaria es ‘escalofriante’. Además, condenó el llamamiento de la armada israelí a desplazar en 24 horas a más de 1.1 millones de civiles en el norte de Gaza.
La guerra entre Israel y el grupo palestino Hamás no se detiene y continúa cobrando la vida de miles de personas en ambos bandos, tras una semana de fuego cruzado. Al respecto, el comisionado general de la agencia de las Naciones Unidas para los palestinos (UNRWA), Philippe Lazzarini,aseguró que “Gaza se está convirtiendo rápidamente en un agujero infernal y está al borde del colapso».
Además, el diplomático condenó las amenazas de la armada de Israel, al pedir que más de 1.1 millón de civiles se desplacen al sur de la Franja de Gaza ante una invasión por tierra.
Por medio de un comunicado, Lazzarini afirmó que esta advertencia de Israel «solo conducirá a niveles de miseria sin precedentes y empujará aún más a la población de Gaza al abismo», ya que muchas de las familias no tienen a dónde ir ni cómo refugiarse.
El comisionado de la UNRWA exhortó a todas las partes y a quienes tengan influencia sobre ella, a finalizar la guerra y proporcionar acceso humanitario inmediato e incondicional», así como protección para los civiles.
La orden de evacuación en 24 horas del Ejército israelí implica la reubicación de casi la mitad de la población de la Franja, algo que la ONU ve «imposible» ahora y que puede tener «graves consecuencias humanitarias».
