Israel corta la electricidad de Gaza en represalia por ataque de Hamas: ‘Estamos en guerra’
Esta nueva guerra ha dejado por lo menos 150 muertos en Israel y más de 1.100 heridos; mientras que el contraataque de la aviación israelí se ha cobrado al menos 198 vidas y dejado más de 1.600 lesionados en Gaza.
El ministro de Energía israelí, Ysrael Katz, firmó una orden para desconectar la Franja de Gaza de la red eléctrica israelí, en represalia por el ataque múltiple de Hamas por tierra, mar y aire que ha provocado otra guerra.
«No va a ser como era antes», indicó Katz en un comunicado sobre este castigo a la población de Gaza, que depende de Israel para recibir el suministro eléctrico, así como para la importación de combustible para alimentar su única planta.
Hamas lanzó un ataque sorpresivo por tierra, mar y aire, que pilló desprevenido a Israel, que declaró la guerra a las milicias de Gaza y desde entonces se suceden enfrentamientos armados en una veintena de puntos en territorio israelí, y sigue en intercambio de fuego por aire, con cohetes desde la franja y bombardeos israelíes en el enclave.
De momento, los bombardeos han causado al menos 150 muertos en Israel y más de 1.100 heridos; mientras que los ataques aéreos de represalia de la aviación israelí se han cobrado al menos 198 vidas y dejado más de 1.600 heridos en Gaza, según datos oficiales, que previsiblemente subirán en las próximas horas.
«Ordené que se desalojaran las comunidades en las que se habían infiltrado terroristas. Se está llevando a cabo. También he ordenado una amplia movilización de reservas y que devolvamos el fuego de una magnitud que el enemigo no ha conocido. El enemigo pagará un precio sin precedentes», añadió Netanyahu, tras reunirse con el estamento de seguridad.
Se trata de una agresión inédita en Israel, no solo por su carácter combinado, sino por el número de cohetes que lanzados -2.200 según Israel, pero 5.000 según Hamas- y por la cantidad de milicianos que se lograron infiltrar en territorio israelí, por tierra, por mar y por aire, mediante el uso de parapentes.
Las Brigadas de Al Qasam aseguraron haber secuestrado los cuerpos de varios soldados israelíes muertos y heridos en enfrentamientos en la frontera; además de tener cautivos a varios civiles israelíes, capturados durante su incursión por tierra a Israel, cuyas autoridades no se han pronunciado al respecto.
Los milicianos de Hamas también afirman haber tomado el control del cruce fronterizo de Erez, así como de la cárcel de la ciudad cercana de Ashkelon, donde liberaron a los presos palestinos.
«El enemigo aún no conoce los resultados de esta batalla», advirtió en una intervención televisada el portavoz militar de Hamas, Abu Obeida, que instó al resto de palestinos de Cisjordania e Israel «a luchar» para que «el enemigo sionista se derrumbe ante la resistencia».
