Madre de tres hijos muere tras ser aplastada por ala de avioneta
La mujer estaba conduciendo una cortadora cuando la aeronave la golpeó en medio de su descenso a la pista.
Una mujer, madre de tres hijos, murió luego de ser aplastada por el ala de una avioneta mientras cortaba el pasto en un aeropuerto de Oklahoma, en Estados Unidos.
La víctima fue identificada como Samantha Hayes (27), una mujer con residencia en Idabel, quien fue golpeada por el ala de una avioneta cuando éste aterrizaba en el terminal aéreo de Broken Bown, en el condado de McCurtain, el viernes.
Según recogió People, el piloto de la avioneta, de 70 años, se percató de la presencia de la mujer cuando estaba descendiendo e «intentó detenerse» y «pasar el ala por encima de la persona», pero la terminó golpeando.
La mujer fue declarada muerta en el lugar, mientras que el piloto no resultó lesionado.
«Este es un accidente terriblemente trágico, y nuestro más sentido pésame está para los familiares y amigos de los empleados», agregó.
Igualmente, Vickie Patterson planteó que «es fundamental que determinemos cómo ocurrió este accidente para que podamos tomar medidas para evitar que algo como esto vuelva a suceder».
«Nuestro objetivo es que todos los empleados regresen sanos y salvos a casa todos los días», cerró.
Las autoridades locales iniciaron una investigación para poder esclarecer los detalles del fatal incidente.
