Vivían en sus propias heces: Rescatan a casi 100 cachorros de un criadero masivo
La ‘empresa’ aseguraba ser un criadero autorizado, pero en su interior los canes vivían en sus propias heces y muchos de ellos estaban bajo peso.
Un grupo animalista logró el rescate de casi 100 cachorros y perros que estaban en pésimas condiciones de salud en un criadero de Estados Unidos.
Se trata del criadero “Paris Puppies Parade”, que en su página web aseguraba ser un “criadero autorizado de doodles en Iowa” (“doodle” es el nombre con que se define a la mezcla entre Golden Retriever y Poodle).
En la última semana de septiembre la Liga de Rescate Animal (ARL) de Iowa llegó hasta las dependencias del criadero tras recibir un llamado de parte de la policía local, quienes en una supervisión en búsqueda de una persona desaparecida, notaron que los canes estaban en deplorable estado.
En su Facebook, los integrantes de ARL relataron “cuando llegamos, el olor nos golpeó incluso antes de entrar en los edificios. Los perros vivían en sus propios excrementos y orina, incluidas algunas madres embarazadas y cachorros recién nacidos. Muchos de los perros estaban enmarañados y algunos increíblemente delgados”.
Además, su equipo médico se quedó atendiendo hasta que cada perro y cachorro pudo ser examinado profesionalmente. En detalle, el dueño del criadero aceptó que se llevaran a 93 canes. Otros se tuvieron que quedar en el recinto, pero el sujeto aceptó cooperar con las autoridades.
Tras el rescate, la ARL está realizando una campaña para poder tratar y cuidar a los perritos hasta que estén sanos para poder darlos en adopción.
