Rodrigo Chaves: “Yo no quiero ser Nayib Bukele”
El mandatario se refirió sobre la estrategia de El Salvador para luchar contra la criminalidad.
A medida que las cifras de homicidios en Costa Rica siguen alcanzando números escandalosos, el Poder Ejecutivo señala al Poder Judicial como el principal responsable de que las cifras no disminuyan.
Durante su visita a Puntarenas, el presidente de la República, Rodrigo Chaves, afirmó que las fuerzas policiales están cumpliendo con su labor, pero son los jueces del Poder Judicial quienes obstaculizan que un mayor número de delincuentes estén tras las rejas.
“Hay un país vecino, usted sabe lo que hicieron ahí. Yo no violento el sistema institucional de Costa Rica, pero ese país vecino, El Salvador, cambió a los jueces, cambió a los fiscales, cambió las leyes etcétera… y bueno, han tenido los resultados que han tenido (…). Yo no quiero ser Nayib Bukele, yo quiero ser Rodrigo Chaves, el presidente de Costa Rica”, manifestó Chaves.
Para el mandatario el sistema judicial y las leyes del país están debiendo en la lucha contra la criminalidad.
Además, el presidente Chaves negó que sus palabras contra el Poder Judicial sean politiquería como algunos sectores lo han asegurado.
“¿Acaso yo estoy pidiendo votos para mí? ¿Dónde está el contexto, el escenario político electoral de eso? Esas son las políticas públicas y cada quien tiene, por el amor de Dios, que tomar la responsabilidad que le corresponde”, expresó.
