‘Me odio mucho’: Madre provoca muerte de sus tres hijos tras chocar bajo la influencia de las drogas
Sus hijos tenían entre 1 y 4 años y fallecieron en el lugar tras el accidente.
Una mujer provocó la muerte de sus tres hijos luego de chocar su camioneta mientras estaba bajo los efectos de las drogas, en Michigan, Estados Unidos.
La mujer fue identificada como Leticia Gonzales (31), quien fue condenada a entre dos y cinco años de cárcel por el accidente de tránsito que protagonizó en febrero de 2022 en Holland Township.
Las víctimas fatales fueron identificadas como Jerome III (4), Jeremiah (3) y Josiah (1), quienes se ahogaron mientras estaban atrapados en el vehículo tras el impacto con el estanque.
Según recogió People, la madre ha estado lidiando con la culpa de ser la única sobreviviente de dicha tragedia, por lo que asumió su responsabilidad en el caso.
«Vivo con dolor y remordimiento todos los días y sólo quiero que mis hijos sepan que lo siento por todo», agregó en la oportunidad Leticia Gonzales.
El juez Jon Hulsing apuntó que si bien la mujer no planeaba el dañar a sus hijos, el incidente no era el primero respecto a su consumo de drogas.
«Esta no es una situación única en la que sucumbes a presiones y deseos de consumir drogas. Más bien, esto parece ser un patrón y, desafortunadamente, sus hijos pagaron el precio máximo por ello», comentó.
