Reconocido zoólogo se declara culpable de abusar, torturar y asesinar a más de 42 perros
Según las autoridades de Australia, Adam Robert Corden Britton, un experto en cocodrilos, maltrataba a los canes para luego compartir las imágenes a través del servicio de mensajería Telegram.
Adam Robert Corden Britton (51), un reconocido zoólogo y exinvestigador de la Universidad Charles Darwin, en Australia, se declaró culpable de una serie de cargos de crueldad animal. El experto en cocodrilos admitió que, desde 2014, torturó y explotó sexualmente a más de 42 perros, de los cuales algunos terminaron siendo asesinados, hasta su detención en 2022.
De acuerdo con el medio The Guardian, Corden también asumió su responsabilidad por cuatro cargos de acceso y transmisión de material de abuso infantil ante el Tribunal Supremo del Territorio Norte.
Asimismo, dijeron que fueron 39 canes los que perdieron la vida a causa de las atrocidades a las que los sometieron. “El delincuente ha tenido un interés sexual sádico por los animales y, en particular, por los perros”, precisó Aust.
Las investigaciones revelaron que, además de abusar de sus dos perros, Adam Corden consiguió a más animales al contactarse con personas que, por motivos de viaje o trabajo, vendían a sus mascotas. Les enviaba fotografías de ellos, asegurándoles que se encontraban en buen estado, antes de abusarlos y registrar todo con dispositivos de grabación que después compartía por Telegram.
El acusado volverá a comparecer ante el Tribunal Supremo del Territorio Norte en Darwin a partir del 13 de septiembre, cuando se comience a deliberar en torno a su sentencia.
