El sueño de James Angulo: ganar un Grammy para dedicárselo a los costarricenses
El talentoso joven obtuvo el primer 10 de la sexta temporada de “Nace una Estrella”.
Este domingo el escenario de “Nace una Estrella” (NUE) se iluminó con la inigualable actuación de James Angulo, un talentoso joven de 19 años residente de Lomas del Río, Pavas.
Su interpretación del clásico “Ella ya me olvidó” de Leonardo Favio fue tan impresionante que mereció el primer 10 de la sexta temporada.
“Quiero dar el mensaje de inclusión para personas como yo, que tienen déficit de atención cognitiva, o con autismo, Síndrome de Down, y muchos chicos que se vean representados en mí. Quiero decirles que los sueños se pueden cumplir con la lucha, perseverancia y, lo más importante, tener a Dios en nuestros proyectos”, declaró James a Teletica.com.
En un emotivo gesto, James dedicó su actuación a Pavas y a su madre, Mariela Torres.
“James, hace dos años, había recibido clases con María Marta (López), pero el sector económico juega un papel importante, y eso era muy difícil para nosotros. James no es hijo único, tiene dos hermanos más. Y ahora él está en NUE, y pues recibe clases con ella gracias al programa. Él siempre me va a llenar de orgullo, a pesar de que tiene un gran talento, lo que lo hace grande es la humildad y el amor con el que hace las cosas”, declaró la madre del joven.
James descubrió su pasión por el canto a la temprana edad de siete años. Durante su tiempo en la escuela, participó en el Festival Estudiantil de las Artes y ganó en la categoría de canto durante seis años consecutivos. Su dedicación lo llevó a competir a nivel nacional desde su primer año en el colegio.
Actualmente, cursa undécimo año en el Colegio de Pavas y sueña con estudiar Música y Diseño de Modas en el futuro. Además de aspirar a ser un gran artista, uno de sus sueños más grandes es ganar un premio Grammy y dedicarlo al pueblo costarricense.
