¡Bravo! Atleta costarricense fue reclutada por la reconocida Universidad de Eastern Michigan
La joven Eva Orlich compite en los 400 metros con vallas y salto con pértiga.
Sin duda que noticias como estas da gusto compartirlas, ya que una atleta costarricense fue reclutada por una reconocida universidad de los Estados Unidos.
Se trata de la joven Eva Orlich Rojas, quien recibió una beca deportiva para cursar la carrera de Fermentation Sciences y competir con el equipo de atletismo de la Universidad de Eastern Michigan.
La atleta quien ya sabe que es dejar el nombre de Costa Rica en alto, tras quedar campeona centroamericana U-20 en la prueba de 400 metros con vallas, cuenta que desde niña le gustaba correr.
“Desde pequeña me ha encantado a correr. A los 13 años comencé a competir en los torneos y competencias nacionales, hasta llegar a distintas competencias internacionales. Competir fuera del país me fue dejando experiencias inolvidables y así me di cuenta que me encantaría poder hacerlo en Estados Unidos, donde sabía que los atletas universitarios cuentan con gran apoyo y cuidado”, contó.
La campeona nacional de los 400 metros con vallas en el 2021, relató que en su último año de colegio fue que tomó la decisión de comenzar a buscar oportunidades en Estados Unidos, logrando a un final ser reclutada por la prestigiosa universidad.
Ahora la nacional de 18 años formará parte de los Eagles (así se conoce el equipo deportivo de Eastern Michigan).
En cuanto a la Universidad de Eastern Michigan compite en la conferencia Mid-American (MAC) de la National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), que es la liga universitaria más exigente del mundo.
