Mujer pensó que tenía un orzuelo, pero le dieron un grave diagnóstico
‘Cómo se lo iba a decir a mis hijos’
Ciaran Morgan, una mujer de 43 años de Inglaterra, tenía lo que parecía ser un orzuelo en su ojo derecho y, además, su médico le diagnosticó rinitis alérgica.
Esto ocurrió en 2020 y un año después, su ojo continuaba hinchándose y empezó a desarrollar otros síntomas como picazón en la piel, dolor en los huesos, pérdida de cabello, falta de concentración y ansiedad.
Le dieron un devastador diagnóstico
«Quedé devastada y llorando ante la noticia. Mi mente estaba corriendo sobre cómo se lo iba a decir a mis dos hijos. Los médicos me dijeron que mi tumor era complejo y, aunque estaba detrás de mi ojo, apenas tocaba mi nervio óptico, razón por la cual todavía tenía vista», señaló, según Mirror.
El tumor fue creciendo en su cuerpo y «pasó desde la parte superior de mi cabeza, debajo de mi ojo», hasta crecer en el cráneo.
Producto de los procedimientos «tuve que aprender a ver sin mi visión periférica y siento dolor y entumecimiento», confesó.
«Desde mi diagnóstico, encuentro muchos estímulos, y estar en situaciones sociales me pone ansiosa, mientras que antes esto no me pasaba», añadió la mujer, que ahora trabaja para generar conciencia sobre la enfermedad.
