Policía que murió en el cumplimiento de su deber tenía 27 años y era padre de dos niños
Otros tres oficiales resultaron heridos en el incidente.
El accidente ocurrido la noche de este martes 8 de agosto e el sector de Santa Eulalia de Atenas y que cobró la vida de una persona sin duda que causó conmoción entre los costarricenses.
El fallecido fue el oficial Kevin Arroyo Salazar de 27 años, destacado en Grecia, según informó el Ministerio de Seguridad Pública.
Arroyo, era vecino de San Roque de Naranjo y lamentablemente dos menores de tan solo tenía cinco y un año recién cumplido, perdieron a su padre en este lamentable accidente.
El oficial falleció en el cumplimiento de su deber, cuando la patrulla en que viajaba y que perseguía a unos sujetos que cometieron un bajonazo, se precipitó a un guindo de unos 30 metros de profundidad.
Además, de Arroyo en la patrulla viajaban otros tres oficiales quienes afortunadamente quedaron con vida y solo resultaron heridos en el incidente.
En cuanto a los sospechosos del robo del carro, no ha trascendido mayor información sobre ellos, en el último reporte se indicó que las autoridades trabajaban en la búsqueda de estos.
