Esto es lo que se sabe del llamado “mini cartel criollo” que fue desarticulado esta mañana
Las autoridades tras estos allanamientos dieron con la detención de siete personas.
Desde las 6:00am de este jueves 3 de agosto, agentes del Organismo de Investigación Judicial (OIJ) realizaron 14 allanamientos en varios puntos del país, con el objetivo de desarticular el llamado “mini cartel criollo”.

De acuerdo con información suministrada por Randall Zúñiga, director interino del OIJ, uno de los sujetos vinculados a la organización actualmente se encuentra privado de libertad, en la cárcel de La Reforma, en Alajuela.
Asimismo, Zúñiga informó que tras dichas intervenciones de esta mañana, lograron dar con la detención de siete personas, entre ellas dos mujeres, quienes al parecer trabajaban en conjunto para traficar droga a nivel internacional.
“Este grupo criminal, en apariencia lo que hacía era tomar alijos de droga que venían del Sur del continente, los almacenaba aquí en Costa Rica y posteriormente los distribuía hacia otros países como México y Estados Unidos”, detalló el director de la entidad.
En cuanto al “mini cartel criollo” el jerarca, indicó que, además de realizar labores propias de legitimación de capitales, la organización también tomaba parte de la droga que les llegaba y la distribuían al mercado local, en sectores como Alajuela y Heredia.
Asimismo, las autoridades indicaron que el sujeto que está actualmente en prisión se le decomisaron 212 kilos de cocaína en el sector de Quepos, en agosto del año anterior.
Además, de que en mayo del presente año a la agrupación se les decomisó 21 libras de marihuana y 100 gramos de cocaína.
Con respecto a los sospechosos detenidos hay colombianos, un dominicano, un nicaragüense y varios costarricenses, cabe destacar que algunos ya tienen antecedentes penales.
Los allanamientos de este jueves, se realizan en sectores como Ciruelas, Turrúcares, San Rafael de Alajuela, El Coyol, Carrillos Bajos en Poás, Belén en Heredia y Sierpe en Osa, Puntarenas.

La operación realizada está mañana fue denominada “Agave”, porque la droga es enviada al Norte de América y, además, las autoridades indicaron que es el primer operativo de este tipo que realiza la Oficina Especializada Contra la Delincuencia Organizada, con el apoyo de 200 agentes.
