Irrespeto a señal de alto provocó aparatoso accidente en Cartago
Producto de la colisión un hombre falleció calcinado.
En un impactante accidente que parecía sacado de una película de acción, un autobús y un camión de carga liviana colisionaron la tarde de este lunes desatando un infernal incendio y causando estragos en un supermercado de orientales en las en las cercanías de barrio El Molino de Cartago, sobre la carretera hacia El Tejar.
Los hechos ocurrieron cuando el conductor del camión, presuntamente irrespetando una señal de alto, chocó violentamente contra el autobús, enviando ambos vehículos hacia la fachada del establecimiento.
Los dos vehículos quedaron totalmente envueltos en llamas, mientras que el supermercado sufrió daños totales y considerables.
Lamentablemente, el accidente tuvo consecuencias fatales, ya que el conductor del camión perdió la vida en el siniestro. Según versiones de testigos y las autoridades, parece que este conductor habría ignorado la señalización de alto en la carretera.
10 unidades de la Cruz Roja Costarricense se trasladaron al lugar del incidente, y más de 25 paramédicos atendieron a 18 personas entre bomberos que atendían la emergencia y pasajeros del autobús.
Tres personas requirieron ser trasladadas a un centro médico.
Se desconoce la identidad de la persona calcinada. Mientras que el chofer del autobús se encuentra en condición estable.
El autobús, con 30 personas a bordo, se dirigía hacia Tablón de Tobosi.
Las autoridades están investigando el incidente para esclarecer completamente las circunstancias del choque y determinar las responsabilidades correspondientes.
