Esguince en la rodilla derecha dejó fuera a Daniela Cruz del Mundial, ella misma lo confirmó
La futbolista abrió su corazón y aclaró los motivos por medio de sus redes sociales.
Otra de las jugadoras que quedó fuera d ella lista de convocadas para el Mundial de Australia – Nueva Zelanda, que inicia el 20 de julio, es la defensa Daniela Cruz, quien juega en el Atlas de México.
Y es que a pesar de que muchas de las que quedaron fuera expresaron su sentir y asombró, en el caso de Cruz, se dio por un tema de lesión.
Fue la misma exjugadora del Deportivo Saprissa, quien abrió su corazón y le contó a sus seguidores de redes sociales la razón por la cual quedó fuera de la cita mundialista.
“En el momento que terminó nuestra participación en el Mundial Mayor del 2015 me dije a mí misma que iba a estar en el próximo mundial al que clasificáramos. Y no sólo que iba a estar, sino que iba a llegar a mi cuarto mundial y en mi mejor forma deportiva. Pasaron 8 años desde entonces, llevo 8 años de trabajar todos los días incansablemente, superándome y dando lo mejor de mí.
“Efectivamente llegué al campamento en mi mejor versión, lo cumplí, me cumplí a mi misma. Desgraciadamente hace 3 semanas durante un entrenamiento sufrí un esguince en mi rodilla derecha y no dio tiempo de recuperarme al 100 por ciento. No hace falta decir que tengo el corazón destrozado, años de esfuerzo se me acaban de esfumar, pero me reconforta el haberme cumplido a mí misma y saber que mis compañeras de Selección darán todo por el país como siempre lo hemos hecho”, escribió este jueves.

Cabe destacar, que además de Daniela, las jugadoras Noelia Bermúdez, Shirley Cruz, Lixy Rodríguez y Carolina Venegas tampoco irán al Mundial.
