(Video) Uber cobró ₡16 millones a turista por llevarla del hotel al aeropuerto
Este hecho se conoció por medio de TikTok, en donde una usuaria denunció lo sucedido.
Dominique Adams, una turista estadounidense, denunció por medio de su perfil en TikTok que un conductor de la aplicación de transporte Uber le cobró ₡16 millones por llevarla del hotel donde se hospedaba al Aeropuerto Internacional Juan Santamaría.
Adams, contó que el chofer tenía que cobrarle ₡29 mil, aproximadamente unos $55, y no $29,994. La aplicación por error cobró en dólares.
La historia de Dominique también fue noticia en varios medios de comunicación como el semanario Newsweek y CatchUp News.
“Adams, una estadounidense, se dirigía a reunirse con su esposo para celebrar su quinto aniversario de bodas en Guatemala, pero después de verificar sus transacciones recientes, se dio cuenta de que le habían cobrado por error en dólares estadounidenses en lugar del colón costarricense”, reveló Newsweek.
Durante su viaje programado a Guatemala, Dominique y su pareja experimentaron dificultades económicas. No fue hasta el cuarto día que finalmente les reembolsaron el dinero que les correspondía.
¿Y qué dice Uber?
La aplicación de transporte indicó al medio CRHoy.com que ya atendieron el caso y que liberaron la retención de la autorización aplicada erróneamente por la entidad bancaria en dólares y no en colones.
Además, indicó que solo están a la espera de que la entidad bancaria le reintegre el dinero a la cliente.
