Dictan tres meses de prisión preventiva para sospechosos de dar préstamos gota a gota en Puntarenas
Los sospechosos son investigados por varios delitos entre ellos: privación de libertad agravada, coacción, extorsión simple, tenencia de material pornográfico, entre otros.
De acuerdo con el Ministerio de Seguridad Pública dos hombres pasarán tres meses en prisión preventiva por ser sospechosos de formar parte de una organización criminal dedicada a otorgar préstamos en la modalidad gota a gota y luego torturar a sus clientes si presentaban problemas de pago.
Estos sospechosos fueron identificados con los apellidos Benavides Mena y Adames Tejeda, y dicha medida fue ordenada por la Fiscalía Adjunta de Puntarenas.
Asimismo, hay otras cuatro personas sospechosas, de apellidos Ramírez Suárez, Chaves Fallas, Zamora Chaves y Cruz Fallas, quienes deberán cumplir las medidas cautelares de no acercarse, amenazar, agredir o intimidar a ninguna víctima o testigo.
“Esas medidas no privativas de libertad también fueron pedidas por el Ministerio Público (MP) en contra de cuatro personas apellidadas Murillo Vargas, Montes Matarrita, Sánchez Quirós y Aguilar Velásquez; sin embargo, el Juzgado Penal rechazó la solicitud. El MP analizó la resolución y determinó que no corresponde un recurso de apelación y que, por ahora, los cuatro imputados pueden enfrentar el proceso penal sin medidas cautelares”, detalló el Ministerio Público.
En cuanto a los aparentes delitos por los cuales son investigadas estas personas son los de privación de libertad agravada, coacción, extorsión simple, legitimación de capitales, tenencia de material pornográfico y cohecho impropio.
“Al parecer, entre el 2018 y el 2023, el imputado Benavides Mena habría creado una empresa en Esparza de Puntarenas, con el propósito otorgar los créditos conocidos como ‘gota a gota’. Se presume que los préstamos eran aprobados sin formalizar contratos por escrito y, en apariencia, se regían con intereses superiores a los autorizados por el Banco Central. Asimismo, se sospecha que, en determinado momento, la empresa variaba las condiciones de pago”, agregó el Ministerio Público.
Con respeto a los afectados, trascendió que cuando algunos deudores no pagaban los sospechosos Ramírez, Adames, Chaves, Zamora y Cruz, los buscaban y los amenazaban.
Además, el Ministerio de Seguridad, indicó que a Mena y a su esposa, de apellido Murillo, también se les investiga por el presunto delito de legitimación de capitales.
Por su parte, la Fiscalía le pide a las personas que fueron víctimas de este grupo que denuncien, puede hacerlo presentándose en los Tribunales de Justicia o bien pueden solicitar más información a los teléfonos 2211-2195 / 2211-2197 o al correo pun-fisc@poder-judicial.go.cr
