Mejía marcó tras una asistencia de Alejandro Galindo en el segundo tiempo para darle a Guatemala el primer triunfo en su tercer partido amistoso después de perder contra México en Mazatlán y ante Trinidad y Tobago en Pensilvania.
Costa Rica debuta el lunes, 26 de junio, ante Panamá. Antes de eso encarará un partido amistoso contra Ecuador el 20 de este mes.
