“Es una decisión técnica, nunca me he metido en eso”, Rodolfo Villalobos sobre Shirley Cruz y la Sele
El presidente de la Fedefútbol dio su opinión sobre el no llamado de Shirley Cruz al campamento previo al Mundial Mayor Femenino.
Sin duda que la decisión que tomó el cuerpo técnico de la Selección Nacional Femenina de no convocar a la jugadora Shirley Cruz al campamento previo al Mundial de Australia – Nueva Zelanda, ha dado mucho de que hablar, ya que la futbolista en un comunicado expresó que le hubiese gustado formar parte del grupo para así despedirse de la Tricolor portando la camiseta.
Sin embargo, ante dicha decisión muchas personas han querido responsabilizar a la Federación Costarricense de Fútbol, en especial al presidente, Rodolfo Villalobos, razón por la cual el jerarca de la Fedefútbol, salió a dar su punto de vista acerca del polémico tema.
Villalobos, quien dijo respetar la decisión que tomó la entrenadora de la Sele Amelia Valverde, aseguró que es una decisión técnica en la que él no tuvo nada que ver.
“Es una decisión técnica, han habido dirigentes que quieren echarme la culpa, porque aquí hasta los choques de la 27 son culpa mía, rechazo categóricamente eso, es una decisión técnica, nunca me he metido en eso, no es costumbre, el día que un dirigente le ponga o le quite a un jugador a un técnico, ese día, el dirigente asume la responsabilidad.
“Es una decisión técnica, nosotros respaldamos el equipo, tiene la responsabilidad de llevar al mejor equipo y que la Selección Femenina haga el mejor trabajo en el Mundial de Australia – Nueva Zelanda”, expresó el jerarca de la Fedefútbol.
Asimismo, Villalobos habló acerca de la Selección Masculina y las expectativas para la Copa Oro, indicando que considera que se conformó un equipo para ir a pelear.
“Creo que se ha conformado un equipo para ir a pelear por ella, Costa Rica no tiene más opción que pelear por la Copa, así que esperamos que Luis Fernando (Suárez, técnico de la Sele) pueda aprovechar toda la logística y son rivales muy fuertes y poder estar en la gran final”, indicó.
En cuanto al Mundial Australia – Nueva Zelanda 2023, se llevará a cabo del 20 de julio a 20 de agosto, mientras que la Copa Oro 2023, del 24 de junio al 16 de julio.
