Un medicamento para sus mascotas, sería el causante de que Hanna Gabriels diera positivo en dopaje
Gabriels quedó automáticamente fuera del combate por títulos mundiales ante Claressa Shields.
Luego de que este jueves 25 de mayo, se diera a conocer que la boxeadora nacional Hanna Gabriels, dio positivo a un control antidopaje al que se sometió a inicios de mayo, horas después se reveló la sustancia por la que no supero la prueba voluntaria de la Asociación Antidopaje.
Según detalló Lou DiBella, promotor de la pugilista nacional a BoxingScene.com, Gabriels dio positivo a la presencia de Clostebol en su organismo, sustancia que adquirió de un medicamento que le suministro a una de sus mascotas.
“El clostebol es un ingrediente de un medicamento que Gabriels propagó en el abdomen operado quirúrgicamente de su perro”, explicó DiBella.
Asimismo, el promotor de Hanna, indicó que en cuanto la boxeadora se dio cuenta que el medicamento contenía la sustancia prohibida luego de que un personero de la VADA se lo informara, ella le solicitó a sus esposo, Bryan Vázquez, que le aplicara el medicamento él a su mascota.
Por otra parte, DiBella, asegura que Gabriels es una víctima de la situación y que lleva 25 meses sin recibir un pago.
“La verdadera víctima en esta situación es Hanna“, señaló DiBella.
“Ella no ha tenido un día de pago en 25 meses y ahora está fuera de una gran pelea.
Su perro se sometió a una cirugía abdominal importante. Ella aplicó el medicamento a su perro y así es como llegó a su torrente sanguíneo. Tan pronto como se enteró de que no debería haber tocado el medicamento, dejó de hacerlo”, expresó.
Ante esta situación que enfrenta la pugilista nacional quedó automáticamente fuera del combate por títulos mundiales ante Claressa Shields.
De momento se desconoce por cuánto tiempo será la suspensión de Hanna.
