Pilar Cisneros reta a un debate a presidenta del Colegio de Periodistas
“Ningún periodista en el país perdió su trabajo por culpa del presidente Rodrigo Chaves”, aseguró la diputada.
La jefa de fracción del Partido Progreso Social Democrático (PPSD), Pilar Cisneros, no está de acuerdo con el informe emitido por Reporteros Sin Fronteras que indica que Costa Rica sufrió una caída en la Clasificación Mundial de la Libertad de Prensa.
El país perdió 15 puntos en el ranking al pasar de la posición 8 a la 23 de 180 países.
Según la nueva clasificación, el país ya no se considera “el último bastión de la libertad de prensa del continente americano”. Pasó de la categoría “buena” a la categoría de “más bien buena”.
“Cero. Yo soy periodista, he trabajado 50 años en esto y conozco las entrañas de La Nación y de Canal 7, por razones obvias. Dígame usted, si en este año de Gobierno ha habido un solo periodista en el país amenazado o que haya perdido su puesto de trabajo. ¿Hay uno solo? No, no lo hay”, indicó Cisneros.
“Yo sí lo experimenté con José María Figueres. ¡Claro! Cuando echaron a Isabel Ovares de Canal 7 y yo renuncié por dignidad. En ese momento dije: no hay derecho. Entonces, que no me venga a mí a decir a los periodistas que hay amenazas a la libertad de prensa en este país”, dijo la legisladora.
Para conversar sobre la caída de Costa Rica en el índice mundial de libertad de prensa por ataques a periodistas y medios, la legisladora invitó a un debate a la presidenta del Colegio de Periodistas, Yanancy Noguera.
“¿Por qué será que la presidenta del Colegio de Periodistas, Yanancy Noguera, se niega a debatir con Pilar Cisneros? Que venga y debatamos las dos a ver si puede sostener que en este país hay un solo periodista que haya perdido su trabajo. No ha querido. Si aceptan el debate, perfecto, yo vengo”, finalizó.
