“Me queda una ausencia de apoyo hacia la mujer”: Hermana de la doctora Cedeño
“Mi hermana no vuelve, pero hay mujeres muy valiosas en este país que hoy están corriendo peligro porque el Tribunal no cumplió su deber”, agregó.
La familia de la anestesióloga María Luisa Cedeño lamentó la sentencia emitida el viernes anterior por el Tribunal de Justicia del Segundo Circuito Judicial de San José, en la que se condenó a 50 años de prisión al hombre de apellido Herrera como responsable del asesinato de la doctora en el hotel La Mansión Inn, en Quepos.
También se informó que en esa misma sala se absolvió de todos los cargos a otros dos sujetos de apellidos Bodaan y Miranda, quienes también habían sido imputados en la causa.
“Así que le mando un mensaje a toda Costa Rica diciéndole gracias porque sabemos que estábamos en sus oraciones y que están con nosotros. No perdamos la fe, que siempre seguirá la justicia de alguna manera. Muchas gracias a todo el pueblo de Costa Rica por sus oraciones, por su solidaridad con nosotros y no estén tristes, no estén reclamando a los tribunales, porque la justicia siempre se va a dar, de alguna manera”, añadió Cedeño.
La hermana de la anestesióloga afirmó que todavía no han decidido si apelarán o no la sentencia, ya que tendrán que reunirse con su equipo legal. Sin embargo, reiteró que existían pruebas suficientes para haber alcanzado un veredicto diferente.
“Me queda una ausencia, una ausencia del apoyo hacia la mujer, porque dejar libres a dos personas que hay pruebas, hay sentencia para algunas mujeres que estamos afuera de una posible violación, eso es lo que me preocupa. Mi hermana no vuelve, pero hay mujeres muy valiosas en este país que hoy están corriendo peligro porque el tribunal no cumplió su deber”, concluyó.
