Bebé de Siria que nació bajo los escombros del terremoto ya tiene un hogar
La bebé de Siria que fue hallada unida al cordón umbilical de su madre muerta está en los brazos de sus tíos. Médicos comprobaron su relación con pruebas de ADN.
Afraa es el nombre que su nueva familia le dio a la bebé de Siria que nació bajo los escombros del terremoto del pasado 6 de febrero. Así se llamaba su mamá, a la que encontraron muerta y unida por el cordón umbilical a la niña que muchos intentaron secuestrar luego de que su historia se hiciera viral.
Los padres adoptivos de la menor de edad son su tía paterna y su esposo, que también tuvieron una bebé días después del temblor que les arrebató a parte de su familia.
Gracias a eso, la mujer pudo amamantar a la bebé de Siria mientras estuvo hospitalizada.
La historia de Afraa, a la que los médicos llamaron inicialmente Aya, sufrió varios intentos de secuestro con motivaciones económicas, ya que su caso despertó un gran interés internacional y diversas organizaciones ofrecieron «millones de dólares» para adoptarla.
El último intento fue llevado a cabo por hombres armados que asaltaron el Hospital Cihan, donde estaba la bebé de Siria, y agredieron al personal médico con la intención de llevarse a la pequeña a la fuerza.
Fue por eso que antes de entregar a Afraa a su nueva familia les hicieron pruebas de ADN a sus tíos para confirmar el parentesco.
Su tía era hermana de su padre y su tío primo de la familia. Ambos tienen seis hijos y con la bebé de Siria ahora son siete.
“Ahora es una de mis hijas. No haré diferencias entre ella y mis hijos”, declaró el hombre a la agencia AP.
“Será más querida que mis hijos porque mantendrá vivo el recuerdo de su padre, su madre y sus hermanos”, añadió.
