Avanza iniciativa para retirar licencia a conductores que participen en ‘piques’
El proyecto fue dictaminado este miércoles.
Los diputados que conforman la Comisión de Asuntos Jurídicos dictaminaron este miércoles una iniciativa de Ley para sancionar con tres años sin licencia a los conductores que participen en ‘piques’.
En la actualidad la legislación establece que el conductor debe esperar un año para recuperar su licencia de conducir.
La propuesta es impulsada por el diputado del Partido Unidad Social Cristiana (PUSC) Leslye Bojorges.
Esa sanción se realizaría en sede administrativa, pues actualmente la suspensión solo es posible luego de una sentencia penal en firme.
“Es imperativo y complementario con la legislación vigente aumentar el plazo para la reacreditación de la licencia de conducir por este acto, ya que quienes incurren en él lo hacen en un franco irrespeto, no solo a la normativa de tránsito de nuestro país, sino incluso poniendo en absoluto riesgo la vida e integridad de propios y extraños”, indicó Bojorges.
La iniciativa había sido presentada en septiembre del 2022 y ahora pasa al Plenario Legislativo para su respectivo trámite.
