Talamanca: Universitaria fue atacada por serpiente terciopelo mientras realizaba voluntariado
La joven fue operada dos veces y se mantiene en condición grave en el Hospital San Juan de Dios.
Una joven universitaria fue atacada por una serpiente terciopelo mientras realizaba trabajo de voluntariado en el sector de Hone Creek, en el cantón de Talamanca, Limón.
De acuerdo con Telenoticias la joven participaba junto con un grupo de personas en labores de recolección de residuos que se encontraban desde Playa Negra hasta la desembocadura del río Hone Creek cuando fue atacada por el reptil.
En primera instancia la universitaria fue trasladada a la clínica de Hone Creek, luego su estado de salud se agravó por lo que fue llevada al hospital Tony Facio y posteriormente fue remitida al hospital San Juan de Dios, en San José.
De acuerdo con el noticiero de canal 7 la joven, quien es vecina del cantón de Santa Ana, en San José, se encuentra en condición delicada.
Ha sido operada en dos ocasiones y está a la espera de una tercera intervención quirúrgica.
Según datos suministrados por la Cruz Roja Costarricense, 32 personas han sufrido mordeduras de serpientes en lo que va de 2023.
