Terremoto de magnitud 7,9 sacude a Turquía
Edificios enteros han caído.
Un fuerte sismo remeció a Turquía. Según el Servicio Geológico de Estados Unidos, se trata de un movimiento de magnitud 7,9 grados richter.
El movimiento telúrico registró 17,9 kilómetros de profundidad y tuvo epicentro al sur de Turquía.
Tras conocerse de los primeros reportes de daños en distintas ciudades del país, el Gobierno turco declaró la alerta máxima en las provincias afectados por el terremoto de 7.8 producido esta noche en el país. Se estima que en ciudades como Gaziantep, Malatya y Diyarbakır han colapsado varios edificios producto de los daños.
De acuerdo a los informes presentados por las autoridades de la ciudad de Kahramanmaraş, ubicada al sur de Turquía, un oleaducto que pasa por las cercanías de la ciudad ha explotado esta noche como consecuencias del fuerte movimiento sísmico que sacudió esta parte del país en la madrugada del lunes de 6 de febrero de 2023.
