Desastre en Punta Leona: CNE reporta siete casas de lujo afectadas por colapso de montaña
De acuerdo con la Comisión Nacional de Emergencias (CNE) siete casas de lujo se vieron afectadas por el colapso de una montaña en Punta Leona, Puntarenas.
Todo indica que el terreno cedió el miércoles anterior en el Residencial Altos de Leonamar en el cantón de Garabito, pero fue hasta este jueves cuando se informó sobre lo acontecido a través de redes sociales.
El presidente de la CNE, Alejandro Picado, junto al geólogo Blas Sánchez, visitaron este viernes el lugar para realizar una valoración del deslizamiento.
“Preliminarmente se observa la afectación de siete propiedades por lo que se conformó un grupo integrado por instituciones de primera respuesta para valorar las estructuras afectadas, así como descartar la presencia de víctimas”, manifestó Picado.
“En la inspección se descartaron personas fallecidas o que pudieran estar
atrapadas. Las estructuras que cedieron, lo hicieron de manera uniforme, incluso se encontró que en algunas viviendas, ni siquiera los vidrios se rompieron”, agregó la CNE en un comunicado.
Blas Sanchez, geólogo de la CNE, señaló que además de las siete viviendas afectadas otros tres sitios aledaños presentaron daños parciales debido al desprendimiento de tierra.
De momento, según el especialista, no se observan evidencias de que vaya a ocurrir algún otro desprendimiento, aunque se recomendará a los administradores del condominio, realizar una observación permanente para alertar en caso de presentarse alguna deformación en los caminos o grietas en las casas aledañas.
Según el análisis generado, las razones por las cuáles ocurrió el deslizamiento son múltiples, entre ellas: encontrarse en una ladera inestable, el sobrepeso de algunas estructuras y el sismo de la semana pasada.
La Municipalidad de Garabito indicó que ahora investiga los permisos de estas construcciones, las cuales fueron edificadas hace aproximadamente 20 años.
