Gerardo Zamora viajará al extranjero en busca de nuevas alternativas que lo ayuden a combatir su enfermedad
Desde el 2019 el periodista luchando contra los tumores que crecen en su cabeza.
Hace varios días que el periodista costarricense Gerardo Zamora, fue intervenido quirúrgicamente por octava vez, esto debido al tumor benigno que le volvió a crecer en su cabeza.
Si bien es cierto Zamora afortunadamente ya se encuentra en su casa recuperándose luego del procedimiento, tal parece que anda en busca de alternativas que lo ayuden a compartir su padecimiento de una forma más eficaz.
Razón por la cual según le comentó Gerardo a Teletica.com viajará al extranjero a realizarse estudios para comprender que hay detrás de las mutaciones de la lesión y cómo frenar que el tumor crezca tan rápido.
“Ahora lo que estamos pidiéndole mucho a Dios es por un estudio que vamos a hacer en otro país, que nos va ayudar a entender las mutaciones que hay detrás de esta lesión y, a partir de ahí, buscar en el mundo qué opciones hay, qué ensayos clínicos se están haciendo, qué investigaciones hay, para ver si hay alguna que nos ayude a que ese tumor no crezca tan rápido”, contó Zamora a Teletica.com.
Y es que ya son varios los años que el comunicador tiene luchando contra dicha enfermad, ya que fue detectado en julio del 2019 y desde eso son varias las intervenciones a las cuales se ha tenido que someter y, además, de pasar mucho tiempo en el hospital perdiéndose de muchos momentos importantes con su familia.
Según trascendió Zamora, estaría viajando en busca de respuestas y soluciones con su esposa la también periodista Ginnés Rodríguez, quien cabe destacar que ha estado al 100% con su esposo apoyándolo y acompañándolo en todo este proceso.
