Guía turístico fallece luego de que un árbol le cayera Corcovado
En el incidente tres turistas quienes llegaron al país abordo del crucero National Geographic, resultaron heridos.
La tarde de este lunes 12 de diciembre, se dio un hecho lamentable en uno de los senderos del Parque Nacional Corcovado en Osa, Puntarenas, luego de que una personas perdiera la vida y tres resultaron heridas.
Según se dio a conocer, la caída de un árbol en el sendero fue el responsable de acabar con la vida de un guía turístico y herir a los extranjeros, provocándoles serias fracturas en sus extremidades inferiores.
El guía turístico fallecido fue identificado como Jovino Vargas Molina, de 51 años y oriundo de Sabalito de Coto Brus, quien tenía todas las acreditaciones al día.
“Jovino es un guía de la zona quien tenía todas las acreditaciones al día. Él fue llevado de emergencia al hospital ya que presentaba varias fracturas, pero murió en el centro médico”, expresó Paula Mena, directora del Área de Conservación de Osa.
En cuanto a los extranjeros que resultaron heridos, trascendió que se tratan de dos hombres y una mujer, quienes llegaron a la zona abordo del crucero National Geographic.
Ellos fueron atendidos por los guardaparques del lugar y por los paramédicos que viajaban en la embarcación, quienes asumieron su atención y según se dio a conocer, los trasladaron hasta al crucero para su respectiva valoración y tratamiento.
“Es muy lamentable lo que pasó y es realmente importante hacerle ver a los turistas nacionales e internaciones que cuando ingresen a un área de conservación lo hagan acompañados, con sus debidas reservaciones y con un guía certificado porque cuando se presenta un accidente es importante tener todas las reglas al día”, indicó Mena.
Con respecto al lugar donde ocurrió el lamentable accidente, es una de las zonas más visitadas en Corcovado, debido a los atractivos que ofrece para los turistas locales e internacionales.
