Derrame de ácido en Intel generó la evacuación de 80 personas
Tres personas requirieron de atención médica.
El derrame de ácido nítrico que puede causar quemaduras de gravedad, puso a correr a los trabajadores de la compañía Intel, en Belén de Heredia, la tarde de este viernes 9 de diciembre.
Según indicaron las autoridades, producto de la emergencia 80 personas fueron evacuadas y las mismas se encuentran fuera de peligro, mientras que tres requirieron atención médica, aunque de momento se desconoce el estado de saludos de ambos, aunque según indicaron en Intel se encuentran en perfectas condiciones.
“En Intel la seguridad es primero, por lo tanto, ante el derrame de ácido nítrico en un área de construcción en la planta en San Antonio de Belén, se procedió con el traslado del personal que estaba en el área a un lugar seguro. Tres personas fueron valoradas médicamente y se encuentran en perfectas condiciones. Se trató de un hecho aislado, por lo que se activaron los respectivos protocolos internos y se le solicitó ayuda a Bomberos de Costa Rica para el adecuado manejo y contención del incidente”, indicó la empresa.
A pesar de que la empresa indicó que la situación se manejó sin problema, en el lugar se presentaron tres unidades de Bomberos, de Materiales Peligrosos, extintora y paramédica.
Según trascendió el ácido nítrico es utilizado en la empresa para la disolución y limpieza de metales.
