Autoridades dan con el cuerpo del menor de 17 años que desapareció en una catarata el día de hoy
El menor andaba en una gira estudiantil en Sarapiquí.
La tarde de este martes 22 de noviembre se dio un hecho lamentable en una catarata en San Miguel de Sarapiquí, luego de que un joven de 16 años desapareció tras ser arrastrado por la corriente.
Tras una intensa búsqueda las autoridades ya confirmaron que dieron con el cuerpo del menor, quien según indicó Gabriel Quirós, Coordinador Operativo de la Cruz Roja, estaba en el lugar bañándose con un grupo de personas.
“En este lugar hay una catarata, las personas estaban bañándose en el lugar, cuando de un pronto a otro, lo que mencionan es que no logran observar a la persona más”, indicó Quirós.
Según trascendió el joven estaba en una gira colegial cuando se dieron los hechos.
El cuerpo fue recuperado tras los trabajos técnicos, en el que participaron cuatro vehículos, dos de rescate, dos ambulancias y 10 cruzrojistas.
“Con equipos de buceo se logra encontrar en la presión hidráulica del agua a la persona. Se logra sacar a un punto seguro y lamentablemente debemos informar que se encuentra sin signos de vida a la persona, coordinamos con las autoridades para el levantamiento del cuerpo”, expresó el Coordinador Operativo de la Cruz Roja.
El Organismo de Investigación Judicial (OIJ) se encargará del levantamiento del cuerpo.
