México: Zacatecas aprueba el matrimonio igualitario
Zacatecas se convirtió en el estado número 25 en aprobar legalmente la unión de dos personas del mismo sexo. La iniciativa fue aceptada con 18 votos a favor, 10 en contra y una abstención
El Congreso del estado de Zacatecas, México, aprobó el matrimonio igualitario con 18 votos a favor, 10 en contra y una abstención, permitiendo la modificación al Código Familiar de la entidad.
Este cambio otorgará a todos los municipios del sector el poder de reconocer legalmente la unión civil entre personas del mismo sexo.
La iniciativa fue presentada por el legislador del Partido del Trabajo (PT), Xerardo Ramírez, y apoyada por su bancada y la del Movimiento de Regeneración Nacional (Morena).
Los votos en contra fueron de Jehú Salas, Gabriela Basurto, Herminio Briones, Manuel Benigno Gallardo, María del Refugio Ávalos y José Juan Estrada -del Partido Revolucionario Institucional (PRI)-; José Guadalupe Correa, Karla Valdez y María del Mar Ávila -del Partido Acción Nacional (PAN); y del Partido Nueva Alianza (Panal), Martha Elena Rodríguez Camarillo.
Con esto, Zacatecas se convierte en el estado número 25 en reconocer esta unión jurídica. Aún faltan siete sectores: Durango, Guanajuato, Guerrero, Tabasco, Veracruz, Tamaulipas y el Estado de México.
