Su auto se averió en la ruta, salió a buscar señal y desapareció en el bosque junto a su hija de 3 años
Un error del GPS la hizo tomar una ruta equivocada. La policía las encontró deshidratadas.
Ludmila Jesus da Silva, una joven madre de 21 años, viajaba junto a su novio y su hija Kyara, de 3 años rumbo a la casa de su madre en la zona rural de Morada Nova de Minas (Brasil). Siguiendo las indicaciones del GPS, salieron de la ruta e ingresaron en un camino alternativo. Recorrieron algunos kilómetros y su auto quedó atascado en la tierra.
En el medio del bosque, sin saber exactamente cuál era su ubicación, Ludmila y su pareja Valter Moreira Westermann salieron del coche para buscar señal de celular. Ellos creían estar cerca de llegar a su destino, pero en realidad estaban lejos de toda civilización.
El GPS de su teléfono le indicaba a Ludmila que podría llegar caminando a la casa de su madre. Pensó que podría ir hasta allí junto a su hija para pedir pedir asistencia para su vehículo. Valter esperaría junto al coche.
«Amor, quédate ahí y yo voy a lo de mamá para llamar a algún mecánico», le dijo Ludmila a su novio y partió junto a su niña rumbo a ese supuesto destino cercano.
Un error del GPS
Pero esta vez la tecnología falló, el punto que marcaba el GPS no era más que una zona de bosque, en la que solo encontró arbustos. Siguió caminando buscando señal para que el mapa se actualizara. Llegó al lugar donde terminaba el camino y se dio cuenta que estaba perdida.
No tenía forma de comunicarse, no sabía dónde estaba y dudaba sobre cuál sería la mejor decisión a partir de ahora. Optó por seguir tratando de encontrar a su madre o a alguien que pudiera ayudarla. «Si me quedo acá no me va a encontrar nadie», pensó y siguió caminando.
Después de caminar un rato, se quedó sin batería en su teléfono y comenzó a preocuparse. Caminaba sin rumbo fijo por el bosque y la luz del sol comenzaba a desaparecer, definitivamente la madre y su hija estaban perdidas.
Mientras tanto, Vater seguía esperando en el auto. Ya habían pasado varias horas desde que Ludmila se había ido, así que decidió llamar a los bomberos.
Según el registro de la Policía Militar, Valter se comunicó el viernes 9 de septiembre por la tarde e informó que su auto se descompuso en el campo, después de haber tomado un camino rural guiados por un GPS.
Tres días solas en el bosque
La policía desplegó un operativo de búsqueda, pero el tiempo pasaba cada vez más rápido y no había señales de vida de la mujer y su hija. Las horas se volvieron días y pasó todo el fin de semana sin novedades.
El lunes a las 5.30 de la mañana, un dron que recorría la zona logró identificarlas. Pudieron dar con el paradero de ambas y a partir de ese momento comenzó una carrera contra el tiempo para que Ludmila y Kyara fueran rescatadas con vida.
Las imágenes mostraban que se encontraban en una zona de bosque a orillas del río Idaiá. Las autoridades trasladaron a un equipo en helicóptero de la Policía para rescatarlas.
Ya no tenían fuerzas, estaban deshidratadas tras tres días sin poder comer y bebiendo algo de agua que encontraron en piedras. La niña y la joven fueron cargadas por los oficiales. Todavía respiraban.
La niña de 3 años se quejaba por la sed y pedía agua. Fueron hospitalizadas de inmediato y esta semana finalmente fueron dadas de alta.
«Me salvé por ella»
Todavía muy débil desde el hospital, la mujer grabó un video para la familia informando qué había sucedido y anunciando que se encontraba a salvo: «Chicos, estoy bien, no se preocupen. Me perdí en el bosque, pero me encontraron con vida, gracias a Dios, a mí y a mi bebé».
Justamente sobre su hija habló con el sitio G1 y explicó que ella le dio fuerzas para luchar por sobrevivir: «Kyara no se quedó de nada en todo este tiempo, no dijo que tenía hambre, sed, parecía como si me estuviera ayudando para que yo la ayudara, para que yo no estuviera aterrada, desesperada, si no fuera por ella me hubiera dado por vencida», destacó la joven.
