Imputado por asesinato de María Luisa Cedeño está en condiciones mentales para enfrentar juicio
Así lo indican los resultados de un examen psiquiátrico forense que se realizó Harry Bodaan.
El Organismo de Investigación Judicial (OIJ) determinó que el propietario del Hotel La Mansión Inn, Harry Bodaan, vinculado a la causa por el homicidio de la doctora María Luisa Cedeño en 2020, está en condición mental para enfrentar el juicio.
Así lo informó Alfonso Ruiz, abogado de la familia de la víctima, a Telenoticias.
Hace unos días al empresario de origen estadounidense se le realizó un examen psiquiátrico forense, solicitado por el defensor de Bodaan, Hugo Navas, con el objetivo de determinar si el sospechoso se encuentra o no en condiciones para hacerle frente al juicio por el asesinato de Cedeño.
El debate debía iniciar el pasado 1° de septiembre, pero se atrasó a raíz de la solicitud de Navas quien pidió la evaluación psiquiátrica debido a que su representado presentaba, aparentemente, problemas cognitivos que le impedirían entender el proceso.
El pasado miércoles 7 de septiembre Bodaan se trasladó hasta el Complejo de Ciencias Forenses en San Joaquín de Flores, Heredia donde se sometió a la prueba.
Con este resultado el juicio se retomaría el próximo martes 13 de septiembre y terminaría el viernes 23 de diciembre de este año.
Además de Bodaan, por este caso figuran como imputados otros dos hombres, de apellidos Miranda Izquierdo, administrador de empresas y Herrera Martínez, un bailarín nicaragüense que vivía en el lugar del macabro hecho.
El caso
De acuerdo con la acusación del Ministerio Público, Bodaan, Miranda y Herrera participaron directamente en la muerte de la doctora María Luisa Cedeño en julio del 2020 mientras ella disfrutaba de unas vacaciones en el Hotel La Mansión Inn, en Quepos.
El cuerpo de la anestesióloga apareció en una habitación del complejo turístico envuelto en una sábana, estaba desnuda, con lesiones graves en todo el cuerpo.
Los abogados de la familia de Cedeño revelaron que las heridas en el cadáver de la víctima fueron lavadas y posteriormente, se les aplicó saliva de la fallecida para distraer los fluidos de ADN.
