Y es que en una entrevista con la cadena de televisión estadounidense, Telemundo, le preguntaron por la música típica de Costa Rica, pero los nervios se hicieron presentes y al final la representante de la belleza costarricense tuvo un zafis épico.
“Hay una música que es sumamente típica, que se baila con el traje típico, que se llama marimba”, contestó.
Fiel a su estilo, la exparticipante del certamen Miss Costa Rica publicó un comentario cargado de controversia en su perfil de Facebook.
“Valeria Rees no ocupa una corona, lo que ocupa es un cerebro. Si hacer el ridículo internacional y no saber nada de la cultura de su propio país y desearle a otras mujeres que se suiciden es representar a Costa Rica de la mejor manera, no me puedo imaginar cuál sería la peor manera. Es denigrante ver que gente represente internacionalmente a su país y sea tan pobre culturalmente”, escribió la guapa rubia que con cada comentario que hace genera sensación en las redes sociales.
“Respuestas como las que ha dado Valeria Rees dejan etiquetas de que los ticos son culturalmente mediocres. Para Valeria Rees es normal burlarse de la cultura tica y desearle a otras mujeres que se suiciden. Que pena que un individuo tome a chiste este tipo de cosas”, agregó.
Dando su mejor esfuerzo
Pese a encontrarse en Israel para la gala final de Miss Universo que se realizará el próximo domingo, la tica no está ajena a las reacciones que generó en la entrevista con Telemundo. Por eso no dudó en enviar un filazo por medio de sus redes sociales a quienes la criticaron.
“Como tratas a los demás es un reflejo de tu alma y de tu educación, como reaccionas ante el mal ajeno dice más sobre tu futuro y tu autopercepción, cuando no valoras tu propia imagen, no te importa que semillas andas sembrando, pero es tu decisión si quieres ser una persona de grandezas o alguien que ve a los demás lograr sus metas”, escribió Rees.
Además, aseguró que está haciendo su mejor esfuerzo para representar de la mejor manera al país y que se siente muy orgullosa por todo lo que ha logrado.
“Yo acá estoy tratando de dejar a las personas de Costa Rica como personas amorosas, que motivan a los demás y que levantan a quienes no se sienten en su 100 % porque es la imagen que quiero que mi país tenga. No puedo estar más orgullosa de mi misma y de lo que es mi vida. Ahorita estoy en Miss Universo, hablando con personas prestigiosas, conociendo personas increíbles, cumpliendo mis sueños y conociendo a mis ídolos de toda la vida mientras que ellos conocen a mi país y mi mensaje”, manifestó la bella representante tica.
Valeria, aseguró que en la entrevista con el jurado del certamen le fue de maravilla.
“Saber que contesté con mi corazón y mi esencia, me siento orgullosa de mi misma, ya que la Valeria de hace 4 años jamás estaría acá, y quisiera que todas crezcamos de esa manera, que creamos en nosotras mismas y que sepamos de lo que somos capaces, que seamos tan grandes que algunos problemas ya no se ven como problemas porque tenemos mejores cosas y mayores responsabilidades en nuestra vida”, finalizó.

La 70 edición del certamen Miss Universo se llevará a cabo en el Universe Arena en Eilat, Israel, el 13 de diciembre de 2021. Por la diferencia de horario será televisado en el hemisferio occidental la noche del día 12 de diciembre.
