Ginnés Rodríguez sobre Gerardo Zamora: “Veo a mi esposo como un campeón”
La periodista cuenta como la familia ha sobrellevado el proceso médico que vive su esposo tras la cirugía de extirpación ocular.
En junio del 2019 la vida del periodista Gerardo Zamora cambió radicalmente. Fue en ese mes cuando los doctores le dieron un diagnóstico devastador: un tumor benigno, específicamente un meningioma, se alojó detrás de su ojo derecho y le estaba afectando algunos órganos internos.
Tras someterse a varias operaciones, cinco en total, los médicos decidieron, en setiembre anterior, extirpar el ojo derecho en un esfuerzo por contener el tumor.
Luego de la intervención quirúrgica el orgullo de barrio Fátima de Heredia envió un emotivo mensaje a sus seguidores por medio de las redes sociales:“Me falta un ojo, pero me sobra el hambre y las ganas de vivir. Gracias Dios, gracias familia, gracias Hospital México, gracias CCSS”.
En entrevista con el programa de espectáculos de canal 7 “De boca en boca”, Ginnés Rodríguez, esposa de Gerardo, contó cómo la familia ha sobrellevado el proceso médico que vive su compañero de vida tras la cirugía de extirpación ocular.
“Esta experiencia nos hizo más fuertes y veo a mi esposo como un campeón. Gerardo está mejor que yo, es más yo creo que Gerardo con ese ojo que le queda ve mejor que yo que yo ya estoy con anteojos y de largo no veo nada. Vieras que Gera no necesita ningún cuidado adicional come de todo, hace todo solo verdad tal vez lo único que tenemos que ir viendo es el tema de la manejada si el va a poder hacerlo si va a ocupar algún tipo de ayuda es creo que el único detalle pero en realidad Gerar me saca a mi ventaja en todo”, declaró Rodríguez al programa de Televisora de Costa Rica.
La presentadora de Informe 11 contó que sus hijos Luciana, de ocho años, y Marcelo, de seis, tomaron con mucha naturalidad la noticia sobre la cirugía de su papá.
“Desde el día número uno les hemos explicado lo que tiene papito en términos en los que ellos puedan comprender. Ellos saben de una pelotita que se había formado cerca del ojito y para cuando ya fue este proceso incluso también de que papito no iba a tener ese ojito también se les habló con esa misma apertura de decirles bueno papito para poder curarlo es necesario que ya el ojito no esté. Además que bueno ya tiempito antes ya habían visto ellos mismos que papito pasaba con mucho dolor”, contó la periodista.
Lejos de refugiarse en el dolor, Ginnés, contó que tras la operación de Gerardo tienen muchos planes y sueños por cumplir.
“No nos detenemos, esta familia tiene muchísimos planes y este tumor no es el epicentro de nuestra familia hay otros planes muchísimo más lindos. Estamos planeando lo de la construcción de la casa que es un proyecto con el que hemos soñado ya por 12 años. También tenemos planes de viajar, retomar ese proceso de conocer lugares de Costa Rica y también fuera que hemos dejado también en pausa así que tenemos una extensa agenda de actividades”, finalizó la encargada de Comunicación e Imagen de la Empresa de Servicios Públicos de Heredia (ESPH).
