Fallece a los 59 años Gunther, eterno enamorado de Rachel en ‘Friends’
James Michael Tyler fue diagnosticado con cáncer de próstata avanzado en septiembre de 2018.
El actor James Michael Tyler falleció la mañana de este domingo a la edad de 59 años víctima de cáncer de próstata.
Conocido por interpretar el personaje de Gunther en la serie ‘Friends’, Tyler fue diagnosticado con cáncer de próstata avanzado en septiembre de 2018 y pero fue hasta hace unos meses que hizo pública su enfermedad contra la que perdió la batalla la mañana de este domingo en su casa en Los Ángeles.
En ‘Friends’ el personaje de Tyler trabajaba en el clásico café “Central Perk” y estaba enamorado de Rachel (Jennifer Aniston) aunque nunca se hizo realidad su amor.
“Los seres queridos de Michael lo conocían como actor, músico, defensor de la concientización sobre el cáncer y esposo amoroso”, declaró su manager en un comunicado compartido por Variety.
Fue a mediados de este 2021 fue cuando Tyler, quien formó parte del esperado reencuentro del elenco de «Friends», reveló en una entrevista para el programa estadounidense Today que desde hacía tres años tenía cáncer que se había propagado a sus huesos durante la pandemia del Covid-19, afectando su columna vertebral.
De hecho cuando se le vio en esta entrevista tenía dificultades para caminar.
