Crespo: “Es falso que la Defensoría sea parte del movimiento antivacunas”
La Defensora de los Habitantes salió al paso de las críticas que la señalan como la responsable de alentar a los grupos antivacunas a manifestarse.
La mañana de este viernes los opositores a la obligatoriedad de la vacuna contra la Covid-19 se reunieron con la Defensora de los Habitantes, Catalina Crespo.
El encuentro generó la molestia de muchos quienes señalaron que Crespo alentó al Movimiento por la Salud y la Libertad a manifestarse, pese a que el colectivo lanzó desde hace varios días una convocatoria por medio de las redes sociales para realizar una protesta este viernes en San José luego del encuentro con la Defensora.
“Hoy nuevamente me veo en la necesidad de aclarar noticias falsas. Es absolutamente falso que la Defensoría sea parte del movimiento antivacunas, es falso que la Defensoría haya convocado a la manifestación en contra de la vacunación como también es falso que la Defensoría motivó al grupo a trasladarse al ministerio de Salud o a cualquier otro sitio”, indicó la socióloga.
La Defensora indicó que siempre ha estado a favor de la vacunación contra la Covid-19.
“Y sí hemos defendido los derechos de las y los enfermeros, médicos y otros profesionales de la salud para que se les dé el equipamiento de protección necesario para hacer su trabajo”, agregó.
En el video, Crespo, acotó que la Defensoría es la casa de todos los ciudadanos y que por ese motivo recibió al grupo que se opone a la inoculación obligatoria anticovid.
Además, lamentó que el mandatario de la República, Carlos Alvarado, rechazara la convocatoria que le realizó días atrás para reunirse con los antivacunas.
“Hoy viernes atendimos a un grupo de manifestantes para recibir sus denuncias las cuales trasladaremos a las autoridades correspondientes para que les respondan así como lo hemos hecho con otros grupos”, manifestó Crespo.
“La Defensoría le solicitó al presidente y al Ministro de Salud que por favor vinieran a dialogar con los habitantes. Lamentablemente no llegaron y tampoco enviaron a ningún representante”, agregó.
Catalina Crespo finalizó su mensaje reiterando que: “La Defensoría es la institución nacional de derechos humanos de Costa Rica y tenemos las puertas abiertas para atender las consultas y denuncias de todas y todos los habitantes del país. Esta institución es su casa y siempre habrá un espacio de diálogo y paz así lo hemos hecho por 28 años y así lo seguiremos haciendo”.
