Rodrigo Chaves no renunciará a su candidatura, confirma presidente del partido
La presidenta del Partido Progreso Social Democrático (PSD), indicó que no le pedirá al exministro de Hacienda que renuncie.
Luz Mary Alpízar, quien es la presidenta del Partido Progreso Social Democrático (PSD), indicó que no le pedirá al exministro de Hacienda, Rodrigo Chaves, que renuncie a su candidatura presidencial, sin importar que tenga una sanción por acoso sexual cuando laboraba en el Banco Mundial.
Aunque la ingeniera química dice no justificar a Chaves, afirmó que se dieron las explicaciones y las disculpas del caso. Para próximas ocasiones promete fiscalizar más a quienes aspiren a puestos de elección popular.

De hecho, Alpízar reconoce que la realidad es difícil para la agrupación política, pero considera que esta situación no puede traerse abajo el proyecto político.
“En este momento lo que debemos de hacer es estar consientes de la realidad que se vivió y fortalecer aún más el proceso. Yo sé que las personas dicen ‘bueno ya tiene que renunciar’, se le respeta. Eso fue hace 10 años”, indicó Alpizar.
Alpízar dice lamentar los hechos ocurridos en el organismo internacional, sin embargo, no tomarán acciones y defiende candidatura de Chaves.
“Hoy nos tocó a nosotros. Pero si estuviésemos en un proceso de coalición varios partidos podrían a verlo estado. Lo que sí es que nosotros estamos haciendo los espacios de diálogos necesarios, alertaremos con muchísimo más cuidado este proceso de fiscalización. Repito no solo a Rodrigo, los que sean denominado en las candidaturas y esperamos entonces hacer ese esfuerzo de revertir un proceso. Ya el licenciado fue sancionado”, finalizó la presidenta del citado partido.
