El Salvador habilita vacunación contra la Covid-19 para niños de 6 a 11 años
El país centroamericano se convierte en uno de los primeros en el mundo en habilitar la vacunación para este grupo etario.
El presidente de El Salvador, Nayib Bukele, anunció la noche de este lunes 13 de setiembre que los niños de edades comprendidas entre los 6 y 11 años ya pueden registrarse para vacunarse contra la Covid-19 como parte de la campaña de inmunización.
“El Salvador ha habilitado la vacunación contra el #COVID19 para niños de 6 a 11 años. Recuerde que la vacuna es voluntaria, universal y gratuita. ¡De esta salimos todos juntos!”, aseveró Bukele a través de su cuenta de Twitter.
La vacunación para los mayores de 12 años se anunció el pasado 29 de julio. De acuerdo con el Gobierno, todos los menores deberán acudir a su cita acompañados por un adulto que permanecerá con ellos en todo momento.
El Salvador se convierte en uno de los primeros países en el mundo en habilitar la vacunación para este grupo etario.
Es importante destacar que El Salvador entró en la lista de los 50 países con los mejores ritmos de vacunación del mundo, el más aventajado en Centroamérica y cuarto en Latinoamérica, según un estudio de la universidad estadounidense Johns Hopkins.
