Nombran a Valeria Rees Miss Costa Rica 2021, sin realizar el certamen de belleza
La estudiante de derecho representará a Costa Rica en la 70ª edición de Miss Universo a realizarse en Eilat, Israel en diciembre próximo.
Teletica, empresa dueña de la franquicia de Miss Costa Rica, designó a Valeria Rees Loría, de 28 años, como la nueva soberana de la belleza 2021.
Así lo dio a conocer la organización del certamen por medio de un mensaje publicado en la página web de canal 7.
El canal del trencito agregó que la organización del concurso les permite: “designar a una participante como representante oficial” de esta forma debido a las afectaciones por la pandemia de la Covid-19.
La sucesora de Ivonne Cerdas, quien tuvo una destacada participación en el concurso de belleza femenina internacional en mayo anterior y quedó en sexto lugar, representará a Costa Rica en la 70ª edición de Miss Universo a realizarse en Eilat, Israel en diciembre próximo.
Según recoge una publicación del medio digital El Observador, Rees superó la anorexia y creó una fundación para ayudar a las personas que padecen de este y otros trastornos alimenticios.
Esta no es la primera vez que se elige a una candidata “a dedo”. En 2017 Teletica designó de manera directa a Elena Correa.
