Costa Rica supera los 5 millones de dosis recibidas contra la Covid-19
La madrugada de este viernes ingresaron al país 223.470 dosis de la farmacéutica Pfizer/BioNTech.
La madugada de este viernes Costa Rica recibió 223.470 dosis contra el virus SARS-CoV-2, correspondientes al contrato de compra con la casa farmacéutica Pfizer/BioNTech. Con este lote el país supera los 5 millones de vacunas recibidas.
El vuelo de DHL con el lote número 40 que recibe el país, ingresó a las 4:00 a.m. a Base 2 del Aeropuerto Internacional Juan Santamaría. En total el país ha recibido 5.062.815 dosis desde el 23 de diciembre anterior a la fecha.
Del contrato bilateral con la empresa Pfizer/BioNTech se ha recibido el 63,6 % de las vacunas compradas a la casa farmacéutica (6.001.125).
Durante lo que va de agosto, se han recibido 899.730 dosis, convirtiéndolo en el segundo mes con mayor ingreso de vacunas, y el primero por envíos de contratos de compra.
Una vez que las dosis arriban al país, son sometidas a la revisión de los reportes de temperatura y aprobación documental por el laboratorio de control de calidad de medicamentos, tras lo cual quedan disponibles para su utilización en la campaña de vacunación.
Vacunación continúa en todo el país
Según datos de la Caja Costarricense de Seguro Social (CCSS), 1.003.508 personas ya cuentan con su esquema de vacunación completo, mientras que 3.029.514 personas (58,7 % del total de la población) han sido inoculadas con una dosis del biológico.
En total, la CCSS ha aplicado 4.033.022 de vacunas en todo el país. Durante agosto se han inyectado 608.744 dosis.
