Adulta mayor fue desalojada y ahora duerme en la calle
Doña Nidia Alfaro contó que no le alcanzó la pensión que recibe para pagar el cuarto que alquilaba en Alajuela.
Una adulta mayor de 68 años fue desalojada de la habitación que alquilaba y ahora se encuentra viviendo en la calle.
En pleno estado de emergencia por la Covid-19, doña Nidia Alfaro, está a la orilla de una carretera en barrio San José de Alajuela. Ahí durmió desde el lunes anterior y este martes aguantó las fuertes lluvias que dañaron el colchón en el que duerme y algunas de las pocas pertenencias que tenía.
La adulta mayor reconoce que no contaba con el dinero suficiente para seguir pagando el cuarto que alquilaba, por eso fue desalojada y se instaló en los exteriores. Doña Nidia recibe una pensión de 100 mil colones y el alquiler del cuarto en el que vivía era de 80 mil colones.
“Uno no espera que le pase eso, una situación así nunca la he vivido a mis 69 años. El 18 de agosto si Dios quiere estoy de cumpleaños y no quiero pasar aquí, no quiero”, añadió la señora.
“Yo no tengo pensión, mi marido hace dos meses murió no me dejo la pensión que era del régimen no contributivo la pensión del él. Se murió él y se murió la pensión también entonces yo estoy aquí parada de manos yo no tengo pensión yo tengo 79 años”, indicó Saborío.
Kenneth Alvarado, vecino de la zona, indicó que luego de ver en el estado en el que se encontraba doña Nidia llamó a la Fuerza Pública el lunes y al Instituto Mixto de Ayuda Social (IMAS) el martes, pero se hicieron presentes 24 horas después.
“Es un ser humano que está ahí afuera y en esas condiciones críticas yo pienso que lo mínimo que puede hacer una institución de aquí de Costa Rica es dar un pequeño aporte”, indicó.
Varios vecinos se organizaron para llevarle comida y prestarle el baño a doña Nidia mientras espera que las autoridades pronto se acerquen a atender su caso.
