Nueva onda tropical llegará al país este domingo en horas de la noche
El IMN informó que las lluvias pierden fuerza pero que continuarán por la llegada de la onda tropical número 18.
El Instituto Meteorológico Nacional (IMN) informó que la lluvias que han afectado a varios sectores del país en los últimos días pierden fuerza, sin embargo, indicaron que no hay que bajar la guardia debido a que, a partir de la noche de este domingo, ingresará una nueva onda tropical al territorio nacional que podría prolongar los aguaceros.
Así lo dio a conocer la entidad en un comunicado de prensa en el que indicó que la disminución de los vientos alisios hasta la costa del Caribe ha permitido que las lluvias en ese sector sean menores que en los días pasados.
De acuerdo con los meteorólogos, la onda tropical número 18 estaría llegando al país durante la noche del domingo y la principal afectación se sentiría el lunes, pues provocaría aguaceros aislados con posible tormenta, especialmente en el Caribe norte en las primeras horas de la mañana.
“Por lo tanto, si bien es cierto que en forma general se espera que los montos de lluvias en el Caribe y zona norte sean cada vez menores, los altos índices de vulnerabilidad que poseen estas regiones en este momento, podrían provocar que sigan dándose incidentes este domingo y los primeros días de la semana venidera”, agregó el Instituto.
Además el río San Juan y el Colorado continúan desbordados.
