Carlos Alvarado: “Lo más importante para la reactivación económica es la vacunación”
El Mandatario prevé flexibilizar algunas restricciones para el último trimestre del año dependiendo del ritmo de vacunación.
El presidente de la República, Carlos Alvarado, prevé que se eliminen o flexibilicen en el último trimestre del año algunas de las restricciones sanitarias para contener la propagación de la Covid-19. Todo dependerá del avance de la campaña de vacunación en el país.
Así lo dio a conocer durante su gira por Guanacaste, en la celebración del 197 aniversario de la Anexión del Partido de Nicoya a Costa Rica.
“Si nosotros hacemos una apertura sin llegar a eso, lo que vamos a tener es una recuperación fallida. Yo sé lo duro que es, pero necesitamos tener un poco de paciencia. Yo espero que esta circunstancia a más tardar la podamos modificar para el tercer trimestre de este año”, agregó.
Alvarado añadió: “Yo invito a la gente que vean los ejemplos diferentes en los estados de los Estados Unidos, por ejemplo; aquellos estados con amplia vacunación están teniendo una alta recuperación económica”.
Según datos de la Caja Costarricense de Seguro Social (CCSS) actualmente el 16 % de la población tiene el esquema completo de vacunación, mientras que el 38 % cuenta con al menos una dosis.
