Aporte solidario de Carlos Alvarado y sus ministros llega a su fin
Presidente y su gabinete donaron un 15 % de su salario como una medida de solidaridad ante la pandemia de la Covid-19.
A partir de este mes el mandatario de la República, Carlos Alvarado, sus vicepresidentes, ministros, viceministros y presidentes ejecutivos volverán a recibir su salario completo, luego de que se venciera el decreto que bajaba en un 15 % los ingresos en solidaridad por la pandemia.
La medida se empezó a ejecutar desde el 19 de agosto del 2020 luego de la firma del Decreto Ejecutivo impulsado por la afectación de miles de familias en el país producto de la crisis económica que ha generado la pandemia por la Covid-19.
Elián Villegas, Ministro de Hacienda, aseguró que desde agosto del 2020 hasta junio del 2021 la rebaja del 15 % en los salarios del presidente y su gabinete significó ₡124 millones de colones y es una medida que ya llegó a su fin al concluir el mes de junio.
Villegas, indicó que la iniciativa de la reducción en el salario de los jerarcas no tuvo una buena acogida en la Asamblea Legislativa.
