Encenderán 3000 velas para recordar a los fallecidos, enfermos y a los que luchan contra la Covid-19
La iniciativa se llevará a cabo en la Basílica Nuestra Señora de los Ángeles, en Cartago.
Con las llamas encendidas de 3000 velas, la Iglesia Católica, quiere rendir homenaje a cada una de las vidas perdidas ante el avance de la Covid-19 en el país así como a las personas que luchan contra la enfermedad.
De acuerdo con una publicación del periódico oficial de la Conferencia Episcopal de Costa Rica, Eco Católico, la Pastoral Social de la Diócesis de Cartago lleva a cabo una campaña de recolección de trozos sobrantes de candelas para crear las 3000 velas, que serán colocadas en un espacio de la Basílica Nuestra Señora de los Ángeles, en Cartago, con el objetivo de pedir por las personas fallecidas y enfermas de Covid-19.
También puede llevar los restos de candelas a las oficinas parroquiales de la Diócesis de Cartago, o bien, en la Rectoría de Pastoral Social, donde se recogerán en la segunda quincena de julio.
“Ojalá nos apoyen y de esta manera a través de un signo visible nos solidaricemos aún más con esta situación que nos aqueja a todos”, comentó el Padre Federico Montenegro, encargado de la Pastoral Social diocesana.
