Lanzan petición para suspender la presencialidad del curso lectivo 2021
Grupo de ticos creó una petición en la plataforma Change.org.
Un grupo de costarricenses busca reunir 15000 firmas para exigirle al Gobierno la suspensión inmediata de las clases presenciales en los centros educativos, hasta tanto pase la alerta roja por contagios del Covid-19.
Los ciudadanos publicaron la petición en la página change.org en donde aseguran que por la vida, la salud y el país, se debe suspender la presencialidad en los centros educativos.
“Costa Rica atraviesa el momento más difícil de la pandemia Covid-19. El aumento de casos, la ruptura constante de cifras récord en hospitalización, el inminente colapso de los servicios de salud y la angustia de miles de familias que diariamente reciben noticias sobre casos positivos, son solo algunas de las muestras del desafío que enfrentamos como sociedad”, indica la petición al inicio.
“Los centros educativos no son ajenos a esta realidad. A pesar de los protocolos de salud que se puedan implementar en el centro educativo, la mayor parte de la población estudiantil utiliza mascarillas de tela que no tienen un alto grado de protección ante el virus, realizan comportamientos grupales con débiles protocolos de distanciamiento en los trayectos hacia los centros educativos y cuando vuelven a sus casas y presentan relajación de medidas en momentos de descanso o ausencia de supervisión docente”, agrega.
“Así mismo, el mantener la presencialidad del curso lectivo implica una movilización diaria de casi un millón de estudiantes, decenas de miles de padres-madres que acompañan a sus hijos(as) durante los trayectos de ingreso y salida, y la movilización de más de 60 mil funcionarios del sistema educativo público y privado. Evitar esta movilización diaria, forma parte de las buenas prácticas implementadas por países occidentales para detener, y disminuir, el aumento de contagios”, añade.
La petición publicada por Cesar Toruño Arguedas indica que: “Ante estos hechos, autoridades nacionales como el Colegio de Médicos y la Defensoría de los Habitantes, han solicitado la suspensión de la presencialidad del curso lectivo como una medida estratégica que, junto a otras acciones, permitiría una disminución de los contagios en las próximas semanas. Esto permitiría disminuir la presión hospitalaria y salvar decenas o cientos de vidas”.
En la iniciativa indicaron si bien es cierto la educación presencial es importante y necesaria para el desarrollo de los alumnos, en esta coyuntura histórica la prioridad debe ser la salud y la vida de cada habitante.
“Por todo lo anterior, los y las firmantes les solicitamos suspender la presencialidad del curso lectivo 2021 hasta que el país logre una disminución de la tasa de contagios y en la presión del sistema de salud”, finaliza el escrito.
