MEP asegura que no es necesaria la suspensión de clases presenciales
Pese al reciente incremento de casos de Covid-19 en el país.
Guiselle Cruz, jerarca de Educación Pública (MEP), descartó este jueves la suspensión de las lecciones presenciales como medida ante el reciente aumento de casos Covid-19 en el país.
Cruz indicó que las autoridades educativas se mantienen vigilantes sobre los casos detectados a nivel nacional y que no existe un crecimiento acelerado de la cantidad de casos que haga necesaria la suspensión de las lecciones presenciales.
“El Ministerio de Educación Pública mantiene un constante monitoreo sobre la aplicación de protocolos y la cantidad de casos Covid que se presentan en los centros educativos. En este análisis se ha logrado determinar que no existe un crecimiento acelerado de la cantidad de casos que haga necesaria la suspensión de los servicios presenciales a nivel nacional, regional o en ningún centro educativo en específico”, manifestó Cruz.
“De darse alguna situación meritoria el Ministerio de Educación Pública en coordinación con el Ministerio de Salud, podrán tomar las medidas que salvaguarden la salud de nuestra comunidad educativa. Sin embargo, en este momento no existe ninguna determinación en ese sentido y el servicio educativo continúa en la modalidad combinada con la que iniciamos el curso lectivo 2021 en todo el país”, agregó.
Las declaraciones de la jerarca de Educación se dan luego del incremento de casos de Covid-19 en el país que justamente coincide con el aumento en la cantidad de contagiados que integran el sistema educativo.
El último reporte del MEP indica que se registran 658 casos de Covid-19 en los centros educativos.
La mañana de este jueves se informó sobre el fallecimiento de la orientadora del Liceo de Costa Rica a causa del virus.
